Artist Talk: Neo Christopher Chung

On Wednesday, 5 October 2022, at 7 p.m. you are cordially invited to MMC KIBLA to join us for an artist talk with Neo Christopher Chung, a guest of the RUK international residency program at KIBLA2LAB. Artist crosses disciplines with an interest in data and machine culture. Through new media installations and interventions, he examines and reveals emergent aesthetics of systems that are deeply coupled with social challenges. His recent works focus on impacts of media, artificial intelligence, and cybernetics, exposing the complexity of science.

Born in South Korea, Neo Christopher Chung studied visual arts and biomedical engineering at Duke University and holds a Ph.D. in quantitative and computational biology from Princeton University. He obtained an MFA at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. As an assistant professor at the University of Warsaw and a research scientist at the University of California, Los Angeles, he conducts research in computational biology and machine learning.
