On Tuesday, September 28, 2021, the Minister of Culture, dr. Vasko Simoniti was on a government visit to the Zasavje region. As part of the government visit, he also visited the Delavski dom Trbovlje where he got acquainted with the RUK project and saw the central work of this year’s edition of the Speculum Artium festival, the Senster sculpture.

On the website of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, they wrote: “A resounding project in the field of contemporary arts, supported by the Ministry of Culture in Zasavje, is a Network of Research Centres for Arts and Culture, RUK in short. The network is managed by Delavski dom Trbovlje, wherein Koper PiNA and the Maribor KIBLA also participate in it. The creators of the project, working at the intersection of art, science and new technologies, strive to humanize technology and therefore transfer their innovative solutions to the economy. It is therefore a project where the innovative potential of art and culture supports and encourages the development of the economy in all three regions from which the network's partners come - Zasavje, Obalno-kraška and Podravska. In the period 2019–2023, the network is co-financed with EUR 4.5 million by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Regional Development Fund.

One of the most resounding projects within the network is the Vertigo Bird from 2020, a 360-degree video ascent to the top of the Trbovlje chimney. In Trbovlje, they are leading a project to digitize cultural heritage, they created the humanoid social robot Eva,  in cooperation with Tom Križnar they are developing a system with small devices, the so-called LoRa transmitters, which would enable a network with smartphones in the Nuba Mountains. A few days ago, from 23 to 25 September 2021, they organized the festival of new media culture Speculum Artium, in the centre of which they placed five basic areas: art, technology and science, economy and tourism."
