SPECULUM ARTIUM

18. 9. 2024 - 21. 9. 2024

Location: Delavski dom Trbovlje

During the festival, which began on September 19, 2024, the stage at the Delavski dom Trbovlje hosted Slovenia’s largest planetarium; we set off on a journey through the galaxy and learned about stars, planets, and nebulae. Among other things, we also became part of a flock of birds, immersed ourselves in an audio exploration of the jungle, wrote on an interactive writing stand, and tried to outwit the devil.

At the Speculum Artium festival, 35 artists from around the world sought answers in their works and posed new questions about our relationship to technology, to the reality of what we see and experience, and to ourselves.

How can the education system prepare young people for the challenges of the future?

Creativity, which lies at the very heart of cultural production, is a highly valued and sought-after skill today. When integrated into the school system through arts and cultural education, cultural professionals can contribute to society’s overall progress in the field of digitalization.

At the roundtable, we presented examples of best practices and discussed opportunities for future collaboration.
